Clinical Aromatherapy Session

Aroma is not a cure, nor a replacement, for modern medicine. However, it is successful as a supplement to support anxiety, memory, and mood, and can assist with eliminating pain and infection.

Natural materials used in Aromatherapy - CO2 extractions, tinctures, essential oils, hydrosols, floral waters, carrier oils and butters -  each have specific therapeutic qualities and it is important to know their effects, contradictions, and safety concerns prior to using. A person’s individual health, intake, and overall constitution is always considered.

Natalie does the research to ensure all materials used are sustainably harvested and she believes “less is more” when it comes to using natural materials. For example, research shows that a low level of essential oils (1-5%) has noticeable healing effects, and higher levels, sometimes necessary for short term application, may not be more effective when using regularly. In fact, higher dosing can be irritating to the skin and mucous membranes. Commitment to sustainability, ethical use, and safety of the individual is top priority.

Natural Perfumery & Signature Scents

Perfumes have the ability to transform you in time and space - to bring you back to a memory lost or forward to an inspired vision. Natural materials have the complexity of hundreds of constituents, all that nature provides, not just an isolate or derivative thereof. The complex aroma and healing ability of full spectrum products are what sets them apart.

Want to create your own natural perfume, but don’t know where to start? Have you tried and the creation ended nothing like what you imagined?  It’s tricky to find the proper blend of natural materials - they change with each year and synergies aren’t always obvious.

Building a personal symphony of aroma allows a connection to intention, spirit, and nature that will last a lifetime. Contact me to discuss personal and group blending options.

Distillation Events

The process of distillation has many correlations to that of Alchemy, the ancient process of transformation. Not only will distillation transform plant material, but when the energetics and work involved is embodied, it can also change our souls.

Natalie has over 20 years of distillation experience and has been distilling plants for hydrosols, essential oils and attars since 2015. In addition to a Chemistry degree, Natalie has studied hands-on with leaders in the space of botanicals and alchemy, including Ann Harmon of Circle H Institute and Cathy Skipper, an herbalist, plant communicator, and founder of Aromagnosis, among others.
